Terms Of Business

1. Chase Consulting will provide services only on the basis that the Principals (The Customer) provide all necessary and timely instructions, authorities and information (including location plans and postcodes wherever possible) to perform the required service.
2. Search instructions accepted by Chase Consulting are on the basis that those instructing us do so as The Customer and are liable for all costs and expenses incurred in respect of the same.
3. Chase Consulting will observe Customer confidentiality in all cases as permitted by Law.
4. Chase Consulting will always use all reasonable care in acquiring information to be provided to the Customer, but cannot and will not guarantee the accuracy of any information provided by third parties which is given verbally without further independent verification or written statement.
5. Chase Consultings' services are provided solely for the use of our Customers' and their Clients, on whose behalf the work has been commissioned.
6. A third party shall not use Chase Consultings' services without our specific written case-by-case authority.
7. Chase Consulting shall be entitled to change its rates for services provided from time to time.
8. The Customer shall be liable for payment of Chase Consultings' services, whether or not their Client has paid monies to them. All invoices shall be paid within 30 days, except in specific cases where other Terms have been agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge outstanding sums at 2.25% monthly and to recover costs associated with the same.
9. Chase Consulting is an authorised reseller of both Groundsure and Sitescope Information Group products whose Terms and Conditions of Business are available on request.
10. Chase Consulting shall be notified with seven days of any discrepancy, inaccuracy or issue being discovered with the service provided. In the event that such notice is not given, the Customer shall be deemed to be satisfied with the service provided.
11. Chase Consulting will use all reasonable endeavours to carry out the services required with all reasonable diligence and accuracy. In the event that the Customer suffers loss as a result of negligence, our liability for direct loss or damage (excluding indirect or consequential loss) arising out of any single or multiple series of related claim or events shall not exceed £2,000,000. Copies of our indemnity certificates are available on request.
12. In providing search reports and services Chase Consulting will comply with the search code.
Complaints Procedure
If you want to make a complaint, we will:
  •  Acknowledge it within 5 working days of receipt.
  •  Normally deal with it fully and provide a final response, in writing, within 20 working days of receipt.
  •  Keep you informed by letter, telephone or e-mail, as you prefer, if we need more time.
  •  Provide a final response, in writing, at the latest within 40 working days of receipt.
  •  Liaise, at your request, with anyone acting formally on your behalf.

If you are not satisfied with our final response, or if we exceed the response timescales, you may refer the complaint to The Property Ombudsman scheme (TPOs): Tel: 01722 333306, E-mail: admin@tpos.co.uk.
We will co-operate fully with the Ombudsman during an investigation and comply with his final decision.
 
Independent dispute resolution
If you make a complaint and we are unable to resolve it to your satisfaction you may refer the complaint to The Property Ombudsman scheme.
